Everyone on this planet has a dream. The question is how far you're willing _____ go _____ make it come true. Take Lewis for example.

All right, Lewis, knock ____ dead [1]. That was a figure of speech. Please don't kill anyone.

All _____ life Lewis's Dream was to find the family he never knew.

I know they're out there.

But the funny thing about chasing dreams is that no one can do it on their own.

What are you doing up here?

Desperate times call for desperate measures.

And the journey will always take you places you've never imagined.

What is this? Where are we going?

To the future!

The first visitor to the future {"Wow!"} will discover a strange new world and a family {"Lewis, meet the Robinsons."} that's even stranger.

Why is your dog wearing glasses?

Oh, ___________ insurance won't pay for contacts.

Hey!

Frogs?!

Genetically enhance frogs.

And _____ only way home {"I have to find my family."  "We'll help ___, kid!"} is about to be stolen {laughs} by a guy _____ gives evil a bad name.

What the?

You are now under my control.

I am now under your control.

Don't repeat everything I say!

I won't repeat everything you say.

This may be harder than I thought.

From Walt Disney Pictures.

If I had a family, I'd want them to be just like you.

You have to go back to your own time.

When it comes to adventure...

Aaaaaa!

Dude, I can't take you seriously in that hat.

When it comes to family,...

I think my wife Lucille is baking cookies. Bake them cookies, Lucille!

... when it comes to comedy,...

I've got the caffeine patch. You can stay awake for days with no side effects! Aaaaaa! Sorry.

... there's no time like the future.

Now, my slave. Seize the boy! Why aren't you seizing the boy?

I have a big head and little arms.

Argh!

Meet the Robinsons.

Get it off!  Get it off!

Master?

#235. The Phrase "Out Of" (4 short videos)

The phrase "out of" can be difficult to understand sometimes, especially when it sounds something like "ah-duh".  Three things are happening in this short phrase:

1) the "ou" sounds like "ah";
2) the "t" sounds like "d"; and
3) the "of" sounds like "uh" (the "v" is silent).

As a result, the phrase "out of" sometimes sounds like "ah-duh" [1].  Here are four short videos that will help you remember that if you hear "ah-duh", it's really "out of".

1) Homer Simpson (4 seconds)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8xiWw5dwngc
That's it.  I'm getting _____ here.

2) Homer Simpson (1 second)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vewkfFu8Q7I
That's it.  I'm _____ here.

3) Trump (10 seconds)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZCzHYMEIeo
Get him out.  Ready?  Are you ready?  Get him _____ here!  Get him _____ here!  Get the hell _____ here!

4) Took the Words Out of My Mouth (18 seconds)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1HSInh_293E
Let's get literal, literal.  Wooo!
Statt! [2]
Mm?
Statt!
Mmm!?
Oh, thanks!  You took the words right _____ my mouth.  Sorry it's slobbery [3].

Notes:

[1] Sometimes I write "ah-da" instead of "ah-duh".  The sound is the same.
[2] Statt = that's the guy's name.
[3] slobbery = covered with slobber (saliva from his mouth).

Answers:

All of the answers are "out of".
