Oh, and if this all-too-commonplace occurrence happens to you next, let’s hope you aren’t actually using your laptop on your, um, lap.” -Engadget-

While this isn’t the first time this has occurred on a MacBook Pro, the cases of exploding laptop batteries are definitely few and far between. Aside from paying attention to how your computer is running, also be sure that you’re purchasing quality batteries from reputable battery manufacturers.
