- be snow, live white
Geum-ja says to her daughter Jenny.
Then Geum-ja burying her face in the cake-a white cake resembling a block of To-fu-
and crying uncontrollary.
That's my favorite scene of "Sympathy for Lady Vengeance /Original title was 'Kind-Hearted Ms. Geum-ja".
It's a famous film of Park Chan Wook, who is wellknown for his other movie "Old boy."
On the surface, it's talk about Geum-ja's revenge.
When she was 20 years old, she's lived with a bad guy who has kidnapped and murdered 6 years old boy.
soon He was suspected to be the criminal. then he threaten to kidnap Geum-ja's very young daughter.
That's because why she's been in prison for 13 and half years, even she wasn't a real killer.
I like the particular quality of light Park's film, and impression of colors, also.
The theme music of Jenny "Mareta,Mareta No 'm Dace 's Plorar" was a lullaby from Alicante in Spain.
It was good and a haunting melody.
but most of all, I like the metaphor of last scene.
Has she got the cure of soul? can she?
I think her daughter Jenny is her cure of soul and her sin.
Sounds like boring? But it isn't. It has a good humor, and you can see beautiful Geum-ja.
(Recently I heard Charlize Theron will became another Geum-ja in Hollywood)
It's one of its virtue.
