How that Barack Obama is officially the new president, I wonder if it's going to change the attitude many people have toward the United States.  I have talked with some of my friends in other countries and they all say they are hopeful that Obama will change the direction of our country and the world.

For a long time opinions of the United States have been very bad around the world. We have broken a lot of treaties with other countries, started a war based on a lie and have not maintained a friendly dialogue.

I know it's probably unrealistic to expect that all our problems will be solved with a new president. But, I wonder if people in other countries will change their outlook on the U.S. simply because we have a leader who wants to engage with them.

What do you think? I'm curious to hear what people's opinions are. Has your attitude changed with the new president? What kinds of things would you like to see the U.S. doing to improve relations with other countries.

First, nice to meet u!!!

Well, I'm from Brazil and we really like Obama...He doesn't seem to be a threat like Bush...I like him!

He appears to be engaged in other things besides war, don't u think?

I don't have a lot to say about it because I'm not very worried with politics, you know...I 've to decide what I'm gonna do after high school...

I hope that Obama be a good president, and a peaceful one...kkkk

There was no hope with the previous president. It is hard to understand that in an advanced country like the United States, there was no safe gards to prevent such a ***** to reach the presidency.

I think Obama is a great guy. He says what he is thinking,  He is listening people (a lot), admit his errors. I think it is opening a new era. I think it will be a great president.

Well,To say the truth ,my attituda toward America changed since The 2003 war in iraq ,it is unfair to those children who were innocent ,and many other people there . But these difficult political things can't be decided by us . perhaps obama will bring new life to America, with the economic crisis ,obama will meet up with many affairs . i hope china and your country's friendship will last forever .

Maybe it is early now to make a comment on whether Obama make our opinions change about his country. Because of being the first black president of America, he may understand what blacks experienced so far. I hope so at least :) And there may be some changes of attitudes towars muslim countries( again i hope) A change should be done there and it prevailed. I hope it will be on behalf of all the people around the world. No war, no greedy!

I think everything will be also up, although the Government did not create a lot of war, but I believe that the people are peace-loving America, they will not tolerate are the people in the United States and the world's relations continue to deteriorate, there is now the economic crisis, ah required cooperation among countries to tide over the difficulties.
