January 14, 2008

Well, i just would like to know wheater ur country provide the children's day for the children like here in Thailand???

It occures on the second Saturday of every January. Normally, the age of children taking part in the celebrations should be less than 14 years old.  The government has set up an organizing committee to co-ordinate with several agencies in both public and private sectors to organize the celebration simultaneously throughout the country.

The objectives are to enable children to realize their importance, to be disciplined, being aware of right and duty, responsibility towards the society, be proud of their country, Religion and Monarchy, and believe in a democratic system having the King as the head of state.

We often hear the saying that, "Children are the future of the nation, if the children are intelligent, the country will be prosperous."

On this day, many interesting places such as the Duzit Zoo, the Army, Navy and Airforce bases, Government House and Parliament House are opened for children to visit.

Thus, all children look forward to National Children's

Sherif Alhanafy
Egypt

thanks for your opinion

but I really don't like to see such things what is the use of celebrating a day like Children day and some of the children  sleeping in streets and can't find a place to live at , and also how come we celebrate them in a day and leave them all the rest of year ,I think that we should take care of our children all over the year not only for one day in the year and celebrating should be by helping them ( giving them money, place to live, clothes, or even food ), not just giving them smiles and celebrates.

thanks for your opinion I respect it but I have a different opinion.

By the way , Egypt celebrates all days that being celebrate at any country all over the world even foreigners here felt strange about it saying "oh the most of the year are vacations mother day, children day, homeless day , independence day, October day , revolution memorial day ,spring feast , Adha feast , Fetr feast ,........ what a country"

thats come in the same time with having one of the baddest  circumstances in these things (children, homeless, ..) for that I think you understand now why I say that celebrating a day is not a solution.
