I finished watching the classical movie—The Graduate last night, which made all kinds of feelings well up in my heart.
At the beginning, I was disgusting about Ben Braddock’s irresistibility to the temptation of Mrs. Robinson and their dirty affairs. However, I was deeply moved by Bin’s sorrowful and soulful eyes when Elaine Robinson left him. He gazed at her figure outside her home secretly; he covered the paper with all her names; he frantically tried all ways to find Elaine before she married another man. Fortunately, he managed to “abduct” Elaine from the church, running away together. Maybe it can be identified as a happy ending, but we know there were still a lot of obstacles before them.
Honestly, I don’t like the film very much. To some degree, it made me depressed. I wondered whether a man can resist a temptation, why they can be tempted so easily and then felt regret about what they had done.
On the other hand, the incidental music is really admirable.
