‘Amnesty International’ says that in 8 days (military time) the moratorium ensuring that temporarily no arms be exported from Germany to Saudi Arabia is going to end. Human rights organization demand the German government to try to expand this moratorium. Reason is the fear that exports of arms may be used in the Saudi-Arabian-Yemeni war.

‘Suedwestpresse’ says that the city of Aden now is controlled by STC again. For a while Aden was ruled by troops belonging to the government, but now STC won this city back. STC fights for the independence of the South of Yemen.

In collaboration with local health authorities, WHO and UNICEF – both of which mention this on their respective website – concluded a nationwide measles and rubella vaccination campaign in Yemen.
Vaccines, fuel, training, deployment of health workers and supervisors, as well as raising awareness among communities about ways to protect themselves against these diseases have been provided. Financial support came from Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait.

“GfbV” says that since the beginning of Saudi-Arabia’s attack on Yemen in 2015 about 10.000 people got killed and three or four times as many got injured gravely. 2.000 schools got damaged – some beyond repair – and 85% of the citizens depend on support by aid-organisations. 7.6 millions are malnourished – half of them being women and children and most of the rest being members of racial minorities as these three groups face discrimination when it comes to the spread of food and medicine. 173.000 citizens live as refugees in another country and 3 millions live as refugees in another city.
