About "That"

Eva

Canada

On the Eavesdropping, there’s a sentence saying “I’m not so into the tricks anymore now that I’m getting so old. ” Sorry that I didn’t make my question clear on my previous message. Let me ask again. Here is the meanings that I understand:

1. Since I am not very interested in the tricks anymore, I feel I am getting old.
2. Because I am getting old, I am not very interested in the tricks anymore.

Can you tell me which one is correct? If neither is right, can you tell me the meaning in another way?

Thanks a lot.

Hi Eva,

I’m sorry I might have mistaken you before. Now I see your question very clearly.

#2 is the correct meaning. #1 implies that you went skiing, realized you don’t like tricks and then felt old. That is slightly different in implication, but has the same general meaning.

Great job!
