The other day I was driving down the freeway when the front tire on my car burst. I didn’t have an extra tire with me, and my cell phone battery was dead. I was really in a pickle.
To be in a pickle means to be in a difficult situation. As Jennifer Garner says in the quote above, many people call their mothers when they are in a pickle. Whenever I’m in a pickle – if I’m having a bad day, having trouble making a decision, having difficulty paying my bills – I call my mom for help.
Who do you depend on when you’re in a pickle?
