Hello everybody, in the following I am going to add books about every part of Islam. You can download and read them for free and inform yourself about the real Islam and check your prejudices whether they were 1 (true) or 0 (wrong). 1.Book: Science and Islam LINK: http://uploading.com/files/S53MPQCJ/SciencIslam.rar.html Muzaffar Iqbal , "Science and Islam" Greenwood | 2007 | ISBN: 0313335761 | 272 pages | PDF | 7,1 MB Review “This is an excellent book. It is a model for any studies on the relation of a particular religious tradition to science.”–Catholic Library World “[The author] has an agreeably caustic and aggressive approach to outdated and erroneous ideas about the history of science. The book is a polemical essay, rather than a history, and welcome as such.”–Times Literary Supplement [TLS] “Scientist, Islamic scholar, novelist, and poet Iqbal first explains why the two-entity model of science and religion developed to analyze Western Christianity does not apply to Islam. Then he explores such questions as what was Islamic in Islamic science, whether there were tensions within the Islamic tradition that may have inhibited the full blossoming of scientific activity, how Islamic scientific knowledge was passed to Europe, and what new facets of the relationship between science and Islam have appeared in the post-Scientific Revolution era.”–SciTech Book News Book Description Provides a clear, authentic, and scholarly account of the various aspects of the relationship between Islam and science 2. Book: Islam denounces Terrorism LINK: http://depositfiles.com/en/files/lh4zqyv3l Tahrike Tarsile Qur'an | August 1, 2002 | ISBN: 1879402971 | 168 pages | PDF | 5 mb One of the unfortunate effects of 9/11 was the misperception that terrorism has divine approval in Islam. Islam Denounces Terrorism thoroughly debunks this notion by looking at both the Qur’an and the historical record. With extensive color illustrations, the book covers such timely topics as Islamic morality, how the Qur’an views war, the real face of the terrorists who act in the name of religions, and much more. 3. Book: The Hijab Why? The Hijab…Why? Publisher: Muhammad Bin Ahmad Bin Ismail AL-Mokadam | ISBN: N\A | edition 2008 | PDF | 55 pages | 1,8 mb Extraordinary consideration has been given by the Islamic Law to women's affairs. Such consideration is sufficient to protect her chastity, to honor her and to secure her position in life. The "restrictions" placed upon her regarding her dress and the display of her beauty and ornament is only to guard against all ways of corruption arising from such dazzling displays. What Islam has established is not a restriction on the freedom of women but is a firm protection for her from falling down to the lowest levels of humility. 4.Book: The Rights and Duties of Women in Islam
Abdul Ghaffar Hassan, "The Rights and Duties of Women in Islam " Publisher: Dar-us-Salam Publications | 1996 | 29 Pages | ISBN: 9960740838 | PDF | 4.5 MB The subject of Rights and Duties of Women in Islam has often been clouded by controversy, personnel opinions and sheer ignorance. Although many scholars have dealt with this subject, there has remained a need to discuss wider aspects of the issue. The purpose of this booklet is to remove some of the misunderstandings, prejudiced opinions and falsehoods which circulate about the Right and Duties of Women in Islam. Happily, there is now a reference work falling between these two extremes. The Encyclopedia of Islam and the Muslim World is a scholarly work "about Islamic cultures, religion, history, politics, and the like as well as the people who have identified with Islam over the past fourteen centuries." A team of international scholars is responsible for the 515 entries, which are arranged alphabetically and range from 200 to 5,000 words in length. Many include some sort of illustration and end with helpful see also references and excellent supplemental bibliographies. A useful index completes the set. Coverage includes the religious dimensions of Islam as well as the development of the tradition in various parts of the world (e.g., Africa, South Asia, U.S.). Cultural issues of importance to the history of Islam (e.g., architecture, calligraphy, language) are also treated. Entries such as Political organization and Political thought demonstrate the historical completeness for which the encyclopedia strives, tracing developments from the life of the Prophet to the present day. Even topics of contemporary interest include a historical perspective. The entry for Jihad describes the many meanings of the term, including its contemporary association with violence, and how the concept has developed historically. The treatment of secularization in the Muslim world includes a comparison to historical events in the West, thereby helping the reader to understand that it cannot be understood solely from a Western perspective. Finally, the biographical entries include important figures from the religious, cultural, and political history of the Muslim world. The Oxford Encyclopedia of the Modern Islamic World (1995) is close in spirit and size (four volumes) to this new work, but its coverage includes far less of historical figures and events. The Encyclopedia of Islam and the Muslim World, on the other hand, "seeks to contextualize contemporary Islam within the longer history of Islam." As such, it can easily serve as a standard reference source with its scholarly, yet accessible, content. Highly recommend for academic and large public libraries. Islam is often caricatured as aggressive and fanatic. Written in the tradition of Ibn Khaldun, this readable and wide ranging book balances that image, uncovers the roots of Islamic discontent and celebrates the sources of its strength. From the four "ideal Caliphs" who succeeded the Prophet to the refugee camps of Peshawar, an objective picture emerges of the main features of Muslim history and the compulsions of Muslim society.

Tauris Academic Studies (2007) | English | ISBN: 1845114736 | 272 pages | PDF | 1.91 MB Acts of violence by extremist groups and the war on terror have added fresh uncertainties to an already complex global order and heightened a widely felt sense of insecurity in the West and the Muslim world. Just as terrorist and counter-terrorism are locked in a mutually re-enforcing symbiosis, the sense of insecurity felt by Muslims (living in Muslim majority and minority states) and non-Muslims is mutually dependent and has the potential to escalate. The pervasive sense of being under attack by the United States and its Western allies, has contributed to a growing unease among Muslims and re-enforced deep-seated mistrust of the 'West'. Public articulation of such misgivings has in turn, lent credence to Western observers, like Samuel Huntington, who posit an inherent antipathy between the West and the Muslim world. The subsequent policies that have emerged in this context of fear and mutual distrust have contributed to xenophobia and a vicious cycle of insecurity. Islam and Political Violence seeks to redress the current debate on the uneasy and potentially mutually destructive relationship between the Muslim world and the West. Akbarzadeh and Mansouri bring together some of the top international scholars in the field, including James Piscatori and Amin Saikal, to deal with a set of inter-related questions about the nature of Islamism, impact of the 'war on terror' on the spread of militancy and the unintended security ramifications. Islam and Political Violence explores the modern concept of Islamism and the re-invention of Islam by the political elites and counter-elites to advance temporal objectives. Islamism rests on a combination of domestic and international factors. The Taliban, Hizb ut-Tahrir in Indonesia and Laskar-e Toiba are pertinent case studies of this domestic-international cross-section. Islam and Political Violence provides us with a new angle from which to examine the range of challenges to social cohesion and multiculturalism in Western societies and the future of Islam in the West.
