Dave: So, Sheryl Crow is starting to tour again after she took time off, um, to deal with breast cancer. Sounds like things are going well now for her, and she’s going to hit the road again and start touring for her latest album.
Taylor: Do you know what causes breast cancer? How does one get that?
Dave: I don’t know. I think there’s a lot of genetics involved.
Taylor: Mm hm.
Dave: Um, but, so she had just divorced, recently, Lance Armstrong, and he was, you know, a major heroic case…
Taylor: Right.
Dave: ...because he had testicular cancer.
Taylor: Oof!
Dave: Yeah, no doubt! And he made a huge comeback. And good for her that she’s doing better now.
Taylor: Right. You know, I’ve never really cared for Sheryl Crow’s music. She’s had great songs, that’s undeniable, you know. I wish her the best. She maybe needs to eat some more. I don’t think it has anything to do with the breast cancer, but certainly, now, anybody post-cancer definitely needs to maintain a good diet, and, you know, I’d like to see her gaining a few pounds, in general.
Dave: Yeah.
Taylor: It’s a shame, you know, breast cancer, it’s a big deal. I can’t remember the exact statistics, but apparently it’s one of the major killers of women…
Dave: Oh yeah!
Taylor: ...in America.

In the United States, more than 200,000 women and just over 1,000 men are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. The risk of developing breast cancer is highest in North America, Western Europe and Australia, while it is significantly lower in Central Africa, China and South East Asia.
In addition to Sheryl Crow, lots of other female celebrities have faced breast cancer, including Kylie Minogue, Anastasia and Melissa Etheridge.
