After the long wait, the photos are finally out. Baby Suri was on the cover of Vanity Fair last month, under the proud gazes of her parents Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes.

The couple has sheltered the new addition to the family from the cameras of the Paparazzi. They agreed to let world-renowned photographer Annie Leibowitz be the first to take the pictures.

The result? Listen as Mason and Emily react to seeing the latest product of scientology love.

Emily

Mason:  So, OK, I gotta say, expectations were high for Tom Cruise’s new baby with, uh, Katie Holmes, and, uh, I think, for my part, they were met and exceeded. That kid is perhaps the prettiest kid I’ve ever seen.

Emily:  The kid looks like a grown woman with a massive helmet head.

Mason:  She looks like Bjork at, like, three months old.

Emily:  It looks like she had Botox.

Mason:  Oh, come now, that’s cruel.

Emily:  She doesn’t look human. I’ve never seen a baby look like this before. I’m still convinced this is, like, an alien baby.

Mason:  Well, it probably is, you know…

Emily:  Sorry for all you lovers out there of the Tom Cruise dynasty.

Mason:  But nonetheless, it is one beautiful alien baby. I gotta say, you know… my roommate subscribes to Vanity Fair and hate me or not I was…

Emily:  I hope it’s a girl.

Mason:  Yes. Uh, Vanity Fair is a quality rag, though. Uh, I was, I was really looking forward to getting the issue and it had been on newsstands for, like, a week before we got it in the mail and I kept on saying that someone stole it from our mailbox.

Emily:  Because it’s so valuable, prize possession.

Discussion

Mason thinks Suri is a beautiful baby.

Emily’s not so sure. When she says the baby looks like she’s had Botox, she’s just joking. She means that the baby’s face looks perfect.

Mason and Emily joke about the baby by saying that maybe she’s an alien.

When Emily says she hopes that Mason’s roommate is a girl, she is saying that she doesn’t think a guy should subscribe to Vanity Fair.

But Mason disagrees. He defends the magazine. And he’s right. Vanity Fair does have a lot of fashion in it, but it publishes good writing.

Mason thought that someone had stolen their issue of Vanity Fair out of their mailbox because everyone has been waiting to see the pictures of Suri.

Have you seen the pictures of Suri? What do you think?
