Goodbye Summer Clothes

What’s your favorite thing about summer? All the warmth and sun? The swimming you get to do?

Or is it your summer clothes and all the skin you get to show off?

Up here in the Northern Hemisphere, summer is officially over. We’ve hung up our sandals and tank tops and brought out the boots and jackets. Amanda and Mason aren’t happy about it either.

Dialog

Mason

Amanda

Mason: Remember back in, like, two months ago when we actually got to wear our warm weather clothes?

Amanda: Yeah, when it was in the triple digits?

Mason: As opposed to this gloom.

Amanda: I know.

Mason: I tell ya. Those were the days.

Amanda: I’m wearing socks. Closed-toed shoes. Trousers.

Mason: I hate, hate wearing socks. It’s like the worst possible thing ever.

Amanda: I agree. What’s the point of getting a pedicure if I can’t even flash off my toe cleavages. Right?

Mason: Toe cleavages? I don’t know. Quite frankly, the funny thing, as much as I hate wearing the socks, I can’t stand wearing shorts. It’s like something about that, my chicken legs show and I just don’t even want anyone to see that.

Amanda: You know the benefit of not having to wear summer clothes, is you don’t really have to care about hygiene. You can be pale. You can be hairy. You don’t even have to put on deodorant because you’re all covered up.

Mason: I completely disagree.

Amanda: Really?

Amanda and Mason fondly remember when it was over 100 degrees Fahrenheit (about 38 degrees Celsius).

Mason is bummed because he has to wear socks now. Amanda has on pants and shoes instead of sandals and a skirt. She wishes she could show her well-kept feet.

Mason says that one thing he doesn’t miss about summer is shorts. He thinks his legs look funny coming out of them. That reminds Amanda of her favorite thing about winter clothes: they cover you up. You don’t have to be tan or even clean because no one can tell what you look or smell like under all those clothes!

Mason is appalled.

Do you prefer summer or winter clothes?

I like every season. Perhaps it is boring to have every time the same weather. Another fortune is that you can wear different kind of clothes. But it is true, you can't do anything if its cold outside. And if its too hot its also difficult like in KSA. So everything has a good side and a worse side. If you want to save energy and resources at this planet – then you must wish a short winter in north and a short summer in south :-)

Brrr…here in Siberia a winter is deadly cold! I am always terribly cold when I am out in december, january,...But I LOVE a spring! This time something special is goin’ on! Everything changes to bright colors! Amazing!

I dislike either the sammer or winter.

While in a sammer time my eyes get a hard time against sunlight either in a winter time my chast gate wounded by cold.

I like summer cloths because when I go to my office morning I can quicklier dress. And in the summer cloths I look more sexy than in winnter ones.

frankly, i like summer very much, you can wear cool tons of T-shirt, it is comfortable, convenient and so many styles and images you can choose. and importantly, it can show your shape. But aside from the function of keeping warm, the warm cloths is not easy to put on and off, makes trouble in sports, even the moment of making a move.:)

so i totally prefer sumer to winter. do you agree?

In any season there are some positive moments. I prefer summer, but unfortunately our summer is not very long period of year. But i don't regret when summer is finishing, because i know that after that winter is following. I like winter too, as there ara a lot of ways to have fun, as for example mountain ski, going to the rink, snowballs games and many things else. Only one thing i'm sad about when summer is ending that motorcycle season is ending too. But there is no meeting without parting, right ? :)

l love summer..l cannot imagine a life without sunshine , sunbathing and without swimming. l do not like winter clothes, l feel myself like a cabbage with winter clothes:)
