So far on our soap opera, we’ve established that both Amanda and Devan like Mason. While Mason is oblivious to the fact Amanda likes him, perhaps all of us have been oblivious to something else.

Jason and Devan are getting some food at the mall. See if you can figure out what’s going on before Devan does.

3. Watch - Watch the video without reading the dialog.

Jason

Devan: What’s goin’ on?

Jason: Where’s our food? I gotta get outta here.

Devan: What are you in a big hurry for?

Jason: I kinda want to meet Amanda somewhere.

Devan: Why?

Jason: I just wanna see her, you know, hang out.

Devan: In what kind of way? What do you mean?

Jason: I don’t know…

Devan: Do you have a crush on Amanda?

Jason: Maybe.

Devan: You do, don’t you!

Jason: Eh…You wouldn’t be wrong if you said I had a crush on Amanda, I suppose.

Devan: Well, you know what Beren told me?

Jason: What?

Devan: No, I can’t tell you…

Jason: N-n-no. What did she say?

Devan: I don’t know.

Jason: You have to tell me!

Devan: She said that Amanda likes you.

Jason: No way!

Devan: Way.

Jason: She did? I thought so. I totally thought so. What did she say? Anything else?

Devan: Yeah, it’s pretty obvious. There’s definitely a love connection between the two of you.

Jason: Awesome! You think so?

Devan: I think so.

Jason: I’m totally going to head her off at the pass. She gets off work in a minute, and I’m just going to, like, grab her…

Devan: You should go for it. You should definitely go for it because she definitely likes you too.

Jason: Oh wow! Thank you so much.

Devan: You’re welcome. This is exciting.

Discussion

It doesn’t take Devan long to realize that Jason has a crush on Amanda. He’s eager to meet her and it’s pretty obvious. Devan also says she’s noticed a “love connection” between them before.

Devan almost blurts out that Beren told her that Amanda likes Jason too. Then she remembers that she wasn’t supposed to tell. But Jason pries it out of her.

He’s really excited and says he’s going to go meet Amanda right away. Devan advises him to make a move quickly.

Wow, everything sure sounds great for Jason and Amanda. Did you ever guess that they liked each other?

But wait, let’s think about this for a minute.

Where did Devan hear that Amanda likes Jason? Beren. Wasn’t Beren wrong about something like this recently? Oh yeah, she thought Marni liked Mason while, in fact, she totally didn’t.

Let’s hope, for Jason’s sake, that Beren’s not wrong again.

What do you think? Are Jason and Amanda meant to be? Will she give up on Mason and go for Jason once she finds out he likes her?

wow,I thought that Daven was steering Jason wrong at first.Just as Amanda had done to Mason when she got to know that Mason was going to date with that hot-dog girl.But It seems that Daven really don't know that the person whom Amanda love is Mason.And they two are actually competitors.So who at earth is wrong,Beren or somebody else?Will Daven and Amanda go together well with each other,I am really looking for that!

i think thah Devan started ''fight'' to get Mason, that's why she said wrong information to Jason thah Amanda likes him. If Amanda and Jason will be together, she has one rival less.

Yes, I agree with Natashenka.

First of all I couldn't believe that Devan are doing this. But she has a reason. Devan is crushed on Mason. Amanda is crushed on Mason. Jason is crushed on Amanda. So if Jason is hanging with Amanda the way will be free for Devan to hit her target.

By the way – it was a pretty good acting of Devan and Jason at the video-stream.

To my mind it`s very cruel from Devan to give a wrong hint to Jason, cos maybe he hopes to make Amanda happy and if Amanda says him smth like "U are good guy but I like Mason so let`s be only friends" it will hurts him strongly. She twisted Jason around her finger saying that Amanda likes him. Real friends don`t do this way.
