Go Super to Listen Go Super!

With a mother as famous as Madonna, you’d expect to have an advantage in show business. But apparently, Madonna doesn’t give anyone special treatment, not even her own daughter, Lourdes.

Lourdes had a brief scene in W.E., the first movie directed by Madonna. But the scene didn’t make the final cut. Luckily, when Madonna decided not to use Lourdes’ scene, the 17-year-old starlet took it like a champ.

Take it like a champ is an expression that comes from boxing. If a boxer takes a punch well, you can say that he took it like a champ. Champ is short for “champion.” It’s important to know how to lose like a champion, not just win like one.

If you take it like a champ, you act tough even though something may be painful, difficult or disappointing. You’re brave and courageous even when times are tough, like a boxer who isn’t afraid to compete against a powerful opponent.

When Madonna says that Lourdes took it like a champ, she means that Lourdes didn’t act mad or upset when her scene got cut from the movie. With Madonna for a mom, it’s not surprising that the kid is tough.

When was the last time you faced a difficult or disappointing situation? Did you take it like a champ?

The trick I guess is to serve as a miror on which people can see a reflection of themselves. I’m an innate outspoken person, and I don’t put any lid on my feeling box : ), I guess people like my honesty.

Duaa,  I really felt sorry for all the people that couldn´t  accept the idea  that the almighty” God ” or dollar  was slipping off  their hands .This is a lesson I have learned, ,not to get attach to much  to material  things  ,then, when you loose them you won´t be so sorry , but it is easier to say than to practice. I took it as a champ and eventually things turned out well for me, I got my money  back  and most  of them  went to cover my travel expenses.Cool

snoopyboy.....  “We can never get free unless we die young ” I meant that as long as we live in this world, we still have possibility to face any kind of problems, even we don’t want it. SO to die young means to run away from the problem. Problem never come to us because we are not living in the world anymore. Got me?? Sorry for poor explaination :D

In most of my life time everything I didn’t take it like a champ. But thanx God I could get through even the most difficult time. ALright, let’s say it’s part of this life so whenever we feel sad or having difficult situation we still take it like a champ. Remember as long as we live in this world we have to face up everything, the trials, sometimes happy, sometimes disappointments. We can never get free unless we die young Laughing

Beatricechiu,
I can understand what you went through. I really can’t stand people like your boss. why dont bosses understand that their employees are the most valuable thing in their company. if they treat them well, they will like their job and then do their best at work and help the company earn much more money.
anyway I agree with julito. you did well quitting that job, especially after you had learned what you needed. I which you to find a better one that you like and with an honnest boss, nice colleagues and a better salary.

   >Have you noticed if you replace “champ” with “man” you’ll get take it like a man, which means “man up”, the devil was in the details, just something I needed to point out. : ) , moving on …

It’s about time we hear of some exemplary celebrity news; all I can say is that the daughter of a lioness is also a lioness. In accord to the term “champ”, I’d like to first and foremost applaud the impartiality of the referee (Madonna) for a job well done. Giving her daughter an opportunity to try out for a role is evident fact that Madonna wants the best for her, but Madonna’s unbiased decision is to provoke her daughter to do her best to succeed. She clearly had instilled noble principles to her daughter, and now she can only be proud of her. Madonna puts the media on notice that her daughter is on track to becoming a woman with character and with the pedigrees of a champion .I really wish Lourdes (Madonna’s daughter) could masticate and digest thoroughly these civil and moral values her mother feeds her. I don’t want to jinx Madonna but a day will come when she’ll leave this earth, sure she’ll leave us with good memories and nice songs; but Madonna has other plans, she wants to leave behind a remnant, her greatest composition, her daughter; someone her fans can look up to and be proud of the work she had done as a mother.

To me a champion is someone who always sees the big picture of any situation, the positive facet of things. The champion accepts defeat and obstacles but her determination never wavers; she might not win it all, but in the end, she will win through it all. In other words, she understands success can only be conceived through failure. I think in a nutshell that’s the notion Madonna had taught her daughter. It might be a little premature for me to say but I think Lourdes is nothing like most bratty and spoiled rotten Hollywood kids. Lourdes took it like a champ indeed .I really don’t think it was a Hollywood stunt in order to attract more followers because Madonna is already an accomplished lady her only unfinished task now is to be a trailblazer for her daughter and  a life coach for her champion in the making. I tip my hat to her and her daughter.

On a more personal note, I had always support a tough guy image in my life; I’ve been through a gearing of all sorts of difficulties that had sculpted me into a well-grounded man. I can share with you a myriad of situations in which I was forced to take it like a champ. I always go for the treacherous routes, give me a mountain I’ll climb it. I’m not as pious like I should, but I strongly believe God will never allow me to succumb to any obstacle that I must face. Life‘s ordeals are to remind me to always take it like a champ and not to whine like a wimp. Plus, all around me I see a lot of inspiring champions, the most beautiful of all, I see women. : )

On this International Women’s day, I’d like to seize the opportunity to salute those we owe our existence to; today my heart sings a song to the womankind. Every woman is a note to the signature song my heart sings to the rhythm of its beats. A psalm to eulogize the women from all corners of earth. to the women who man up to raise a child on her own. I praise the women and their multitasking abilities that make our lives easier; to the women who take it like champs through thick and thin. An ode to the ones who exceed all expectations. Bearers of life , God’s masterpieces .Thus, as long as there are women in the world my heart will keep whispering in harmony with every single pulse “women we love you so, women we need you so” : )

Guys remember, today is just  a chosen date to celebrate women in general, but the ones closer to you need that celebration every single day.
