Picking a major isn’t always easy. Some people know what they want to study from an early age. Others take a long time to find their passion.

When choosing a field to study in college, you also have to think about what job you might want to get once you have your degree. It’s important to be practical, since it’s no fun being broke.

i  Studied aviation and mechanical engineering and am doing a master in management/ And Am  working in power plant/ they say if u choose a job that U really love u won’t have to work everyday/ am the perfect antonyms to such thing / all I wanted is to be a professional swimmer / its a matter of start learning to love what u got instead of wishing for what u don’t have. .

I am going to graduate from high school this May, and I want to major in Anthropology. I know it sounds not “practical” at all, but I can still find a job in this field because there are really few people choose this route. Of course I have little chance to find a well-paid job, but I don’t mind as long as I can live on it. There is still something much more important than money, such as what you love.

I majored in English like Devan did and I am actually using my degree. But in Russia you are not absolutely broke if you know languages and of course if you have a wish to earn using them. So I teach English and German. Many others are more practical, I know, however I like teaching languages. So I have found my dream job!

I’ve majored in sciences, especially biology and chemistry.. We have physics and calculus as minors…

Majoring in sciences is not bad, I think it’s interesting, but you can’t guarantee to find a good job when you graduate in it, excepting if you are going to be a real scientist ..Laughing

At my school, I had also chosen biology, but my choice was for another major.. Unfortunately I couldn’t reach it..
