I don’t Believe in Luck . I only believe in God .

Iranian people have some of the Superstition .for instance If sb sees a dead person at sleep who gives him something then He will be able to earn some mony or wealth in next days or earning progress in life.

If you itch on your palm so you will earn some money very soon.

i think many of superstitions are formed by religion or have roots in religion. every day can potentially be our best day but we ourselves make them destroyed and after that say it is because the bad fate or chance.

I am not superstitions but in my country Iran some people believe that number 13 has bad luck.or the first day of week saturday is very importantn for having a good week so they should start saturday morning with happiness in order to have good week and have good chances in a week

I was affected by some superstitions that pass down from my family.My grandmother depicted many old and weried stories that really happened as the superstition predicted.Most superstitious i know were from her.such as ,Do not look into mirror at night,because you are not strong as daytime,You would see ghost throught the mirror.Do not put chopsticks inserted in a bowl,which is a way to remember the dead.I’m not totally believe that,But subconsciously i will avoid them.

I always believe in God , I pray for him to protect me from all Superstitions sources couse He is the only one Powerfully than all creaters in the World .

I am not superstitius but if I see a ladder I don’t walk under of it, just in case, just in case something could fell dawn and hit my head

I’m not superstitious. In my hometown, it is said that if a kid drops a tooth which is in the top row, it should be throw on the floor; if the dropped tooth is from the bottom row, it is supposed to be thrown onto the roof of the house, or else new teeth will not grow and will not grow in the right way.

I`m not superstitious.but I believe as in islam says putting money aside for poor people makes bad events not happen .

I am not supertitious.

There was song sung by a rock group that had a verse in the lyrics, “ain’t superstitious but a black cat crossed my trail…!” Hmm?

I am not supertitious, hey, !! wait a moment, why then when  crossing under a ladder  you cross fingers and if you happened to hear an owl  hooting at night you think that is a bad omen  and pray to God to protect you and your family. In the US most hotels  skip the 13 floor  as it is considered an unlucky number.  OLA,  your post is hilarious.

We have a number of superstitions.

If you meet a man with an empty bucket, you’d better go home and do nothing for a day, the success is not going to be your way, But if the bucket is full, lo and behold, hurry up to strike a deal!

If you see a black cat crossing a road, try to take roundabouts, it brings misfortunes as well

Number 13. Unlucky too.

The spilled salt predicts falling out.

to sweep crumbs from the table by your hand – no money

If you going somewhere but forgot something and had to go back on your half way, you’ll get unlucky in the task you were going ot fulfill. In that case look in a mirror and it might “undo the spell”.

Before going on a trip, everyone should sit for a minute and get quiet.

if you eat from a knife, it will make you agressive, angry and vicious

Don’t pass anything over a treshhold. Get in house or out of the house and hand in what you need.

And the last one, I didn’t know before. Watched in a movie. If a person enteres a house and the clock stops (it’s rare though), it’s bad, very bad …. aaaaaahhhhh

I’m not that too much superstitios, but I try to avoid the above situations.:)

Personally I’m not superstitious !

In my country and all around the world there’re a whole bunch of superstitions such as:

666: Devil’s number
13: Unlucky number
7: lucky number
3: another lucky number; signifies strength because of the Trinity
Don’t walk under a ladder
Don’t break a mirror
Don’t step on a crack
If you spill salt throw a pinch over your left shoulder to keep the devil away
If you sneeze cover your mouth so your soul doesn’t fall out
Don’t let a black cat cross your path.

walking past a pole with someone it is bad luck to split up & each go around on different sides of it. ( if you do you have to say Bread & Butter)
Walking with one shoe on & one shoe off will make you have some kind of leg or foot problem one day
Never shut a pocket knife someone else opened, they must shut it themselves
If your nose itches someones coming that you know
if your ears are burning someone is talking about you
If you drop a piece of silverware someone is coming from the direction it is pointing
If you pee in the road you will get a sty in your eye
if you hold a toad & it pees on you you will get a wart
killing a cricket is bad luck
a small new potato in your pocket will help with arthritis
a buckeye in your pocket is good luck
Cabbage or black eyed peas on New years with some change in your pocket means all your needs ( not wants) will be met during the that year
Find a penny pick it up but only if it faces heads up & you will have a day of good luck

So, you’ve gotta chose between all this what you’ve to avoid, according to your culture, lol !

As for me , i believe in this :Yes, sometimes bad things happen to people who seem undeserving of them. But Allah allows things to happen for His reasons, whether or not we understand them. Above all, however, we must remember that Allah is good, just, loving, and merciful. Often things happen to us that we simply cannot understand. However, instead of doubting Allah’s goodness, our reaction should be to trust Him.

 I always say in good or bad status Alhamdulillah (All praises and thank be to Allah),

Allah always Gives His best to Those who leave the choice with Him !

whatever happens is Allah’s will”.

وعسى أن تكرهوا شيئا وهو خير لكم وعسى أن تحبوا شيئا وهو شر لكم والله يعلم وأنتم لا تعلمون

 But it is possible that you dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing which is bad for you. But Allah knows, and you know not. 

Don’t think it  to be an evil to you; On the contrary it is good for you:

... لا تحسبوه شرا لكم بل هو خير لكم

I ain’t superstitious. However, many famous persons agree that success and luck are related to each orther. They carry good luck charms,pray everyday.

As Marni said,everything happens for a reason. My point is how you face the matters. Some ppl always count on the luck and don’t try to do the best. Once they failed, they give up.

Louis Pasteur siad “Chance favors only the prepared mind”. Get the best preparation before you do one thing,then the lucky chance naturally fall in to you. :DDDDD
