We know what the birth of a revolution looks like: A student stands before a tank. A fruit seller sets himself on fire. A line of monks link arms in a human chain. Crowds surge, soldiers fire, gusts of rage pull down the monuments of tyrants, and maybe, sometimes, justice rises from the flames.

Journalist Nancy Gibbs, talking about justice coming from human revolution (BrainyQuote)

When someone rises from the flames, they come out a new person. For example, on the news you can see many people who have lost their family and homes. But with patience and strength, these people rose from the flames and re-built their lives.

i don’t think the difficulties is a good incentive to shake of your laziness and start doing sth.
It’s definitely not a driving force, but a destruptive one. Yes,at the back of your mind, you need to move on, do sth and that how it goes but there were also numerous cases of massive depression, sadness, lack of confidence …
What I think, just get up, be thankful what you have and try to do it better with love passion for life but not because of the hardships you went through. Pay tribute by working hard to life that is very short and leave a positive long footprint. That would be rising from the flames from my perspective.
Wars has never made anyone stronger. It’s a bad aura, bad energy, bad memories. It’s a delusion. How many countries didn’t get back to normal after a war.
I’d go with my example for the country as Switzerland that has never known wars and is still a prosperous country
