At some point in your life, you might want to buy a house.
A house can be a symbol of all the hard work you have done.
Steph is in the middle of the process right now.

Dialog

1. Listen and Read - Listen to the audio and read the dialog at the same time.

2. Study - Read the dialog again to see how the vocab words are used.

Steph

Derek

Steph: So, I told you we got approved for our house loan, right?

Derek: Yeah. That’s great!

Steph: Yeah. I’m really excited. There’s just a few more things that we have to do.

Derek: Really? Like what?

Steph: Well, this morning an appraisal was done on the house. And then on Wednesday we get that back. And then we have an inspection on Thursday. And then on Friday we have to close and sign all the papers at the bank.

Derek: Sounds like a, uh, fun process.

Steph: Yeah. There’s a lot of little stuff to do. But, ya know, we’ll get it done and it’ll be awesome!

Derek: Yeah. It’ll be really cool to have your own home.

Steph: Totally, and you know when we mow the grass, we’ll know that it’s our grass that we’re mowing down.

Derek: Exactly. Not somebody elses.

Steph: Yeah.
