John:  Do you fly much Steph?

Steph:  I used to. Boy, I had some problems when I was flying internationally though. One time, I tried to bring my pet with me.

John:  Oh, really? How was that?

Steph:  Oh. Ya know, it was ok, but they charged me all these extra fees. And they didn’t disclose that they were gonna do that. So, um, I was really angry.

John:  Do they do it based on the weight of the animal? Or is it a set fee, or how does it work?

Steph:  Well, there’s a set fee and then if you change planes sometimes you have to pay two fees. And so it depends on how many airlines you’re actually taking.

John:  Now, couldn’t you just bring your pet on your lap?

Steph:  You can, but you still have to pay the fee. And if your pet’s bigger, you pay more of a fee.

John:  That sounds like a rip-off.

Steph:  I know. And they didn’t tell me about it. I called them in advance. And it’s a total rip-off.

John:  Well, was it worth it? Or?

Steph:  Well, yeah, it was worth it. I had my cat. So that was good.

John:  That’s nice.

Discussion

I was caught off guard by the extra fees for pets. I had called the airline several times to make sure how much I would have to pay. They kept telling me $75.
When I got to the airport, they told me it was $150. I was so angry, but I had to pay it if I wanted my cat to come along.
In the end it was worth it to have brought him.
Have you ever flown with a pet? Did you experience any difficulties?

At times I have problems with airline companies because I fly internationally. I have to change planes. Sometimes my baggage is lost or they don't like the size of my hang baggage or I'm affraid to miss following plane. It's really boring.

How does this rating work? 1 is the best or 5 is the best?
You used to highlight some words with explanation. Where are they now?
