Miguel:  Hey Beth, are you pumped up for the big holiday movie season that’s coming up?

Beth:  I am. I feel like I sorta fell behind on all the films that I want to see, so hopefully in the next few weeks I’ll get caught up.

Miguel:  Are there any movies in particular that you really wanna check out?

Beth:  Well absolutely. I have to see Elf and I want to see Something’s Gotta Give.

Miguel:  Which one is that?

Beth:  That’s the one with Jack Nicholson, Diane Keaton and Keanu Reeves.

Miguel:  Oh yeah. That looks really good. Jack Nicholson looks like he’s really good in that.

Beth:  Yeah, the previews look hysterical.

Miguel:  Have you seen anything for Cold Mountain?

Beth:  Oh yeah, is that the film with Nicole Kidman?

Miguel:  Yeah, I think it’s Nicole Kidman and Jude Law and it’s some kind of Civil War story or something, but I know the book, like, got a lot of praise and was a best seller for a long time. So, it looks pretty good.

Beth:  Is that number one on your list?

Miguel:  You know, I haven’t worked that list out yet completely, but I think it’s near the top.

Discussion

I haven’t seen Cold Mountain, but it’s definitely the film I’m most excited about. I read the book and it was an extraordinary story. It will be neat to see the on-screen version.
I’m not sure what to think about Something’s Gotta Give. I’ve seen the previews, but for some reason they haven’t really grabbed me. I’ll probably see the movie if one of my friends wants to see it, but otherwise I can wait for it to come out on video.
See you at the movies!
Zach
