I have a question!

I have a question!

Why do people send friendship request on Ebaby while they dont have any picture , blog ,comment or other activities here??

Even if someone is new here, he/she can post comments for others and lessons!

You dont need to be friend with someone to post your comment!

I think its better we send our request after sending some comments to show others who we are then they can decide to accept or not!

I have many friends who are not active on ebaby at all!

They dont send any comment or dont reply others comments!!

Then what was the point of being friend here ??

I wonder!!!

You are already productive friend Mahtab :)

I agree with Buttafly that common ground for all of us here is to practice in language ideas and words, and here we are expressing it.

Now if someone offers me some business opportunity or opportunity different than learning English – it will be a different subject. I though, believe in specialization; for each different opportunity different sites are specifically tailored for, so I will skip to casino for easy money rather than giving myself in the sweet hands of spammers or some other place according to the nature of opportunity :-)

Well, Ryo, I don’t know if it is reaction to my words or your personal interpretation :) For interpretation to my words I believe I will get 6 billion illustrations :)

Quality rather than quantity matters most to me.

I don’t see any point in accepting the friend requests of those with whom I have never exchanged a single word before or whose points, as far as I follow on forums or lessons, don’t make any sense to me and my perception of life. I respect every sort of opinion whether I agree or not, but to keep the number of my friends quite a lot just puts a big burden on my shoulders and then I think to myself, “If I don’t communicate with them, then what’s the use of befriending with them?” I don’t need a big number of so-called friends. I need true friends whom I can trust. That I am very picky in this sense doesn’t mean I reject to inspire others, either. I can inspire them through various comments on different forums, lessons, blogs, etc even if they are not in my friend list.

Well Mahtab, I can’t speak for anyone else, but as a native speaker myself I get on here because it’s probably my only chance to talk to people from around the world. I’ve been to Canada and Mexico, but anyplace else is a plane trip and a passport. (We didn’t need passports for Mexico and Canada when I went, we do now) I love talking to people from around the world. I have learned much from them

I agree with wobbly that while learning English we can learn about different cultures and languages as well. I think language sites are big pools for multilinguals and each language have different ideas that give more ideas and percpectives at hand. For instance the way I write my English I have something of my languages as well.

Okay Ryo, I am quite satisfied with my previous statement so if you don’t mind shall I keep it? :)

Dear Ryo, I am the least person swimming in the pools of debates :) but okay if you think so then I am swimming … Here we go: The root of the fallacy in your supposition is that subjective views or beliefs about something are not real properties of that thing; you can know something in different descriptions, just as different people have different beliefs about the same thing.

Only in terminology while in essence the same.

For instance: Labaniz’s law and ‘The identity of indiscernibles’ is same law though having different heads.

“If two things A and B are identical, every property of A will be property of B, hence A has a property that B lacks, A and B are not identical.”

DEMONSTRATION:

I don’t know Labaniz law; I know The identity of indiscernibles; therefore Labaniz law is not the identity of indiscernibles.

So, here is a fallacy; subjective views are not real properties, different people know the same law through different terminologies.

What about Bono and Paul David Hewson?
