Here are a few suggestions for beating the summer heat:
Cool Drink
On of the keys to summer comfort is to provide your body with lots and lots of liquid. Drinking an ice cold drink is a tried and true way to lower your body temperature. Water is the best thing for you, but tea and fruit juice will also do the trick.
Swimming
Swimming in the ocean, a lake, a river or a swimming pool is always refreshing. If you can, drive up into the mountains where the water is crisp, clean and icy cold!
Sprinkler
Running through a sprinkler is guaranteed to give you a chill. If you don’t have a lawn with sprinklers at your house, try going to a park or a school.
Air Conditioning
If you’re lucky, you have air conditioning in your house. If you don’t have it, you can always go somewhere that does – like the library, shopping mall, or restaurant.
Shade
Good old fashioned shade is a great way to get out of the sun. Find a big tree or an umbrella, sit down underneath it, and chill out.

One of my favorite ways to stay cool in the summer is to eat frozen fruit. Berries, grapes and mangoes are all super good when they’re frozen. They’re even better when they’re mixed with some fruit juice and yogurt and blended into a smoothie.
Oh! One other essential thing to remember if you’re going to be outside this summer: Always use protective sun lotion to prevent your skin from getting burned. Also, wear sunglasses to protect your eyes from the sun’s powerful rays!
Stay cool!
